The Opportunity

Queens Unlimited is seeking an organized, creative, and dependable Programs & Events Intern to support the planning and execution of our programs, events, and community experiences.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a student, recent graduate, or emerging professional interested in nonprofit management, project management, event planning, community programming, business, or communications.

The intern will work alongside the Queens Unlimited team and gain practical experience supporting real programs from idea through execution.

 

What You'll Support

Programs

  • Assist with coordinating Queens Unlimited programs, workshops, speaker sessions, and community experiences.
  • Support speaker and facilitator preparation, scheduling, materials, and session logistics.
  • Prepare participant materials, agendas, sign-in forms, surveys, and other program resources.
  • Track program attendance, feedback, and follow-up items.
  • Help organize program information and resources for members.

Events

  • Assist with planning and coordinating virtual and in-person events.
  • Research venues, vendors, activities, and event resources.
  • Support event registration, attendee communications, check-in, setup, and post-event follow-up.
  • Help maintain event timelines, checklists, and project plans.
  • Attend local Queens Unlimited events when available.

Team & Project Support

  • Maintain assigned projects and tasks within the Queens Unlimited project management system.
  • Participate in team planning meetings as needed.
  • Assist with research and special projects.
  • Help document processes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future programs.
  • Collaborate with the Membership, Communications, Operations, and Partnerships teams to support successful execution.

Role Purpose

The Partnerships & Community Engagement Coordinator will help expand the Queens Unlimited ecosystem by identifying and developing relationships with organizations, businesses, professionals, and community partners that can provide meaningful opportunities and resources to our members.

This person will also support events and community initiatives by helping Queens Unlimited secure partners, sponsors, vendors, speakers, experiences, and in-kind resources.

 

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

  • Research and identify potential corporate, nonprofit, small business, and community partners aligned with the Queens Unlimited mission.
  • Conduct partnership outreach and manage consistent follow-up with prospective partners.
  • Identify opportunities for member benefits, discounts, resources, experiences, and professional opportunities.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective and active partners.
  • Support the development and fulfillment of ongoing partnership relationships.

Sponsorship & Development

  • Identify potential sponsors and in-kind partners for Queens Unlimited programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate outreach using approved sponsorship decks, proposals, one-sheets, and partnership materials.
  • Track conversations, follow-ups, commitments, and partnership deliverables.
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities that support both the Queens Unlimited mission and organizational growth.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Support partnership development for Queens Unlimited events and community experiences.
  • Help identify venues, vendors, speakers, facilitators, sponsors, and community collaborators.
  • Represent Queens Unlimited professionally when communicating with external organizations and prospective partners.
  • Identify relevant community events, organizations, and opportunities where Queens Unlimited should have a presence.

Partnership Operations

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, contacts, partnership status, and next steps.
  • Provide regular updates on partnership activity and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Queens Unlimited operations, communications, membership, and leadership teams to ensure partnerships are executed successfully.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, personable, organized, proactive, and comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships.

The ideal candidate does not wait for opportunities to come to them. They enjoy researching possibilities, making connections, following up, and finding creative ways to bring organizations and people together.

Experience in partnerships, community engagement, business development, nonprofit development, events, sales, sponsorships, or relationship management is a plus.

Most importantly, this person should understand the Queens Unlimited mission and be excited about helping create greater access, resources, experiences, and opportunities for women.

 

Time Commitment

Approximately 5 hours per week / 20 hours per month, with flexibility around events and special initiatives.

 

Compensation

Part-time independent contractor position.

Starting compensation of $200–$300 per month, based on experience, availability, and agreed-upon scope.

As Queens Unlimited continues to grow its membership, partnerships, and revenue, there may be opportunities for the role and compensation to expand.

Role Purpose

The Community & Membership Experience Manager is responsible for creating a consistent, engaging, and supportive experience for Queens Unlimited Inc. members.

This role serves as a key connection point between our members, programming, and community, helping ensure Queens feel welcomed, connected, supported, and actively engaged throughout their membership journey.

Core Responsibilities

Member Experience & Engagement

  • Welcome and support new members through the Queens Unlimited onboarding experience.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with members throughout their membership journey.
  • Monitor member participation and proactively reconnect with members who become less engaged.
  • Help members understand and take advantage of available programs, resources, events, and opportunities.
  • Gather member feedback and identify opportunities to strengthen the overall membership experience.

Community Groups

  • Manage and facilitate Queens Unlimited member groups and community discussions.
  • Create consistent engagement within groups through conversation prompts, check-ins, resources, accountability, and member connections.
  • Encourage meaningful peer-to-peer relationships and participation across the Queens Unlimited ecosystem.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, productive, and professional environment within all member spaces.

Weekly Programming & Speaker Series

  • Coordinate and manage Queens Unlimited's weekly virtual member programming and speaker sessions focused on career, business, personal development, and other areas aligned with the Queens Unlimited mission.
  • Coordinate speaker scheduling, session details, member communications, reminders, and follow-up.
  • Facilitate sessions as needed and ensure members have a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Track attendance, participation, feedback, and opportunities to improve future programming.

Community & Membership Operations

  • Coordinate monthly member touchpoints, community experiences, and engagement activities.
  • Support Queens Den, Rise to Royalty, events, partnerships, and other membership initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain regular member communications through email, newsletters, community platforms, and member updates.
  • Track basic membership engagement, attendance, participation, and follow-up needs.
  • Provide regular updates on member engagement, feedback, and opportunities for improvement.

Ideal Candidate

A highly organized, personable, dependable, and community-minded individual who enjoys building relationships and creating meaningful experiences for women.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and facilitator who can take ownership of recurring community activities, follow through consistently, and recognize when a member may need additional support or connection.

Above all, this person should understand that successful community management is not simply keeping members informed. It is helping members participate, connect, utilize their membership, and see continued value in being part of Queens Unlimited.
