The Queens Den CLT

Updated: Nov 7

The Queens Den CLT, an extraordinary event hosted by Queens Unlimited Inc. in Charlotte, NC, brought together the inaugural members for a weekend of empowerment, fellowship, and productivity. It wasn’t merely an occasion; it was a celebration of sisterhood, leaving a lasting impact on every attendee. The objective was to showcase the essence of Queens Unlimited Inc. throughout the weekend, highlighting various aspects—from moments of knowledge sharing, accountability exercises, and an intense business simulation, to opportunities for feedback on QU products like the membership box prototypes. It culminated in an exquisite dining experience, embodying our entertainment pillar, Queens & Cocktails, an extension of Queens Unlimited Inc. designed to facilitate meaningful connections through high-quality networking opportunities.

Here’s how the event unfolded:

The weekend began with a variety of activities serving as icebreakers. From life-sharing sessions to moments of pure joy, the ladies connected on a personal level, forming bonds that would endure beyond the weekend. Each queen received a carefully curated box of gifts, providing a firsthand look at the QU membership boxes. These treasures included earrings, a queenly necklace, The Queens Unlimited polo tee, weekend nightwear, and thoughtful tokens like a wine stopper and notepad, along with QU affirmation cards serving as reminders of the empowering weekend.

The second day began with recommended meditation exercises led by Tenika Neely, the owner of Yoga Studio “Praise and Pose” (@praiseandpose). This was followed by a group exercise of deep reflection facilitated virtually by our special guest Kiana Davis (@bodiedbykii), drawing from her Journal “Don’t Forget About Yourself.” The journal prompted us to reflect on the specifics in our morning and daily routines, aiming to identify areas for improvement to reach new heights and describe the current theme of our lives. After completion, we took time to discuss amongst each other and provide perspective.

During the Crowned Ventures segment, the ladies were tasked with crafting compelling business cases for premeditated ventures within an hour. Business proposals, presented in various formats, including presentations and creative prototypes, were shared and voted on using QU Coins from the membership box. Following each group presentation, we took a moment to assess the estimated startup costs and end-of-year ROI to enhance the value of our voting process. The winning team earned the opportunity to initiate the implementation of their chosen business.

A highlight of The Queens Den was the exquisite rooftop dinner, showcasing the essence of a Queens & Cocktails event, with a stunning setup fit for royalty. The evening was elevated with a selection of drinks, adding an extra layer of sophistication. As the Queens enjoyed the sumptuous meal, they nourished not only their bodies but also their spirits through conversation. By selecting a question from the QU crown, each woman had the opportunity to answer a question that provided more insight into who they were in their own Queendom.

A special shoutout to Alberta Diana Hayes, or as the ladies titled her Lady D throughout the weekend, serving as QU’s Operations Manager but also displaying her amazing talent with the divine decorative setup.

Each queen, representing various industries and backgrounds, contributed uniquely throughout the weekend. Games and interactive sessions infused fun into the event, reflecting the genuine bonds formed. Notable women from diverse fields, including education, fashion, health, travel, marketing, technology, and military service, were warmly welcomed.

The Queens Den went beyond being a mere soft launch event; it was a transformative experience celebrating the power and resilience of women. As the Queens bid farewell, they carried with them not only the memories of a remarkable weekend but also a reinforced sense of sisterhood that would persist in the days and years ahead.
